Amanda Jevin - Behavioral K-9 Trainer

Amanda Act.jpg

Amanda is the owner and trainer behind Electric City Canines, which she founded in March 2025. Her journey into dog training began in 2022 while working through daily challenges walking her own rescue dog, Ally.  Through consistent training under trainer Wayne of Disciplined Savage K9, Amanda not only saw a dramatic improvement in Ally’s behavior but also experienced a deeper, stronger relationship with her dog while continuing a two-year mentorship under Wayne. Grateful for that transformation, she decided to pursue training so she could help other struggling dog owners experience the same success with their own dogs. Amanda completed her certification through CATCH K9 Academy while continuing to train dogs of all ages, behaviors and breeds under Wayne’s mentorship.

From July 2025 through March 2026, Amanda ran weekly private training sessions and bi-weekly group classes at Green Dog Barkery. During her time there, she discovered a growing interest in working in rescue and decided to shift her focus toward helping shelter dogs.

Amanda proudly joined the Paw Paw team as the Lead Trainer for the shelter’s training, behavior and socialization program. The mission of this program is to address each dog’s individual needs through a combination of obedience training, socialization and breed-fulfillment exercises, helping prepare them for their new lives in their forever home.
